Grants for Teachers, Students, Schools
Grants, like scholarships, do not need to be repaid.
You will need to write a proposal explaining
why you need the money, and details how you will use it
and how you will monitor success.

Scholarships
Scholarships, like grants, do not need to be repaid.
Scholarships can be based on academic performance, financial need,
religious affiliation, and/or minority status. When applying for
scholarships, think about what you have to offer that is unique - what
makes you different - and find a group that values that difference. Read
the requirements carefully. Do not waste your time applying for
scholarships for which you are not qualified.

One more way to afford college without borrowing money
Many 2-and-4-year colleges have programs that offer
reduced or even free tuition to students who work for the university. A
simple thing like working 10 hours a week for the college can get you
reduced tuition. Check it out! Ask the university admissions
office.
Government Financial Aid for College
These monies do need to be paid back,
but the loans carry very low interest, and you don't need to pay them back
right away. They give you time to graduate from college first. If you
don't need to borrow the money, don't borrow it. But get everything set up
in case you do.
